Stevens Computer Science Department to Host Women Techmakers Virtual Conference

The event will empower participants to strive for growth and discovery

The Stevens computer science department will host the Women Techmakers Virtual Conference on March 26. This event will welcome Stevens students, faculty, staff and alumni to a day of technical training, and inspirational talks from leaders at Google and Netflix, inspiring participants to leave with new skills and a sense of empowerment.

International Women’s Day (IWD), on March 8 marks a moment to celebrate and provide visibility for the incredible contributions of women around the world and serves as a call to action for accelerating gender parity. For the past 10 years, Women Techmakers has celebrated IWD. This year’s conference theme #ProgressNotPerfection celebrates all kinds of progress, and the strength that women demonstrate when they do not let fear hold them back from following their dreams.

Sponsored by the Stevens Department of Computer Science and the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, the event will include five workshops and talks throughout the day.
